Our Story, Experience, and Purpose

ALL HEARTs Veterinary Hospital was founded by Dr. Jason Sweitzer, DVM, whose passion for animals began growing up in Ventura County. From observing local wildlife to caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, Dr. Sweitzer’s journey through veterinary medicine has spanned more than two decades and a wide range of practice environments. Those experiences shaped a vision for a hospital that blends advanced medical care with genuine connection and education.

I want to share that I have had 18 dogs my whole life. It wasn’t until this last five 1/2 years that I finally found the most compassionate , knowledgeable, caring not out for the money just to help our pet Veterinary doctor. This doctor I met His name is Dr Jason Sweitzer . I told Dr. Sweitzer I was getting a new puppy and that as soon as I brought her home, I wanted him to meet her and to examine her and let me know if she was healthy and I did and I have to say he actually saved her life ,from the very beginning when I when I received her, she had been fed raw food, frozen duck heads is what the woman sent me home with and raw chicken feet so my puppy had parasites in her tummy that Dr. Sweitzer had saved her from the beginning . My puppy Reef is five years old now and thanks to Dr. Sweitzer healthy, and thriving. I am one of those dog moms that every concern I have I call my Vet and ask him to help me to reassure me that she is gonna be OK or ask him to examine her to make sure that she’s ok ,It’s like he has X Ray fingers he can touch her and tell me what’s going on. He can look at her in the eyes and know if she’s hurting or not and he has such knowledge it’s like he studies medicine daily. I have never trusted a doctor so much. It’s such a nice feeling when you can really have a good doctor that you can trust to bring your pet to . Most dogs don’t like to go to the Vet, but it’s really weird every time she’s ever sees Dr. Sweitzer She gets excited to see him lays on her back and he gives her a belly rub. I am so grateful to have him in our lives I think it’s very important for pet owners to have a veterinary doctor that they can feel like they really do care about your animal and that you’re in good hands, knowing that you can trust them with your pet. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Jason Sweitzer.

Dr. Sweitzer is, without question, the best veterinarian I’ve had in over 40 years. His knowledge and expertise are exceptional, but what truly sets him apart is his genuine love for animals. It’s obvious the moment you walk into the office.
He takes the time to sit down on the floor and let the animals come to him, making them feel comfortable and safe before even beginning an exam. That level of patience and compassion is rare and deeply appreciated.
He is also incredibly thorough with his exams. He always looks at the whole dog, asking about eating habits, behavior, and overall well-being, and he consistently checks to see if I have any additional concerns. It never feels rushed and I always feel heard.
He takes the time to thoroughly explain all available options so you can make informed decisions about your pet’s care. On top of that, he is very responsive. Whenever I’ve called with questions, he has always been quick to respond and helpful.
I feel very fortunate to have found him and would highly recommend Dr. Sweitzer to anyone looking for a veterinarian who truly cares.
